as an budding author and illustrator,  Hilary has had two true loves since a child nature and her art. This very much comes through in all of her works and stories.

Fen of Formby is her first character to inspire the book "Fen Needs a home" and  is inspired by the cheeky red squirrels living in a tree at the bottom of the garden in her hometown of Formby.  Watch this space for the next books about Fen:
